Creating rustic charm

Sometimes called "processed" wood, Reclaimed wood might be perceived as second-hand wood which looks shabby and is of poor quality. However, it is in fact wood (often oak, chestnut or pine) that has already been used as part of a building, typically barns and factories, and is of good enough quality to be reused for a different purpose.

Most reclaimed lumber comes from timbers and decking rescued from old barns, factories and warehouses, although some companies use wood from less traditional structures such as boxcars, coal mines and wine barrels.
